Holiday RV Destination #1: Santa Claus, Indiana 

This small town in southwestern Indiana is known for its love for all things Christmas. The town is home to a Santa Claus Post Office, Santa Claus Museum, Santa Claus Christmas Store, Santa’s Toy Factory, and even Santa’s Stables. Not to mention the infamous Holiday World and Splashin’ Safari!

Plus, this destination is the ideal Midwest holiday getaway. It is located centrally between Nashville, Indianapolis, and Cincinnati.

Furthermore, Lake Rudolph Campground and RV Resort is located in Santa Claus. The resort ranks as one of the 11 most family-friendly campgrounds, according to U.S. News & World Report.

Holiday RV Destination #2: Frankenmuth, Michigan 

You certainly can’t miss this holiday pit stop. After all, it’s the size of one-and-a-half football fields! Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland is a massive warehouse housing 50,000 holiday trimmings and gifts. The unique warehouse is open 361 days a year.

Plus, Frankenmuth Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, FMCA Commercial Member #C3379, is a 3-minute drive or 8-minute walk from Bronner’s CHRISTmas Wonderland. The resort offers an activity schedule, pool, bike rentals, free Wi-Fi, and full hookup sites. 

Holiday RV Destination #3: Christmas, Florida

So how can a place called Christmas, Florida, NOT celebrate the holidays year-round? Plus, it’s in a fun location with proximity to Disney World, Universal Studios, and Legoland. 

While you’re there, visit family-owned and operated Christmas RV Park. Natural sites, including state parks and wildlife sanctuaries, surround the park. Plus, the park offers full hookups, a pool, free Wi-Fi, bingo, shuffleboard, movie night, golf outings, and morning water aerobics.

Holiday RV Destination #4: Stone Mountain, Georgia

Watch a live performances of A Christmas Carol or The Littlest Christmas Tree. Or have a sit-down with Santa; in fact, USA Today named Stone Mountain Christmas a top place to visit Santa Claus.

If you’re looking for a spot to stay, Stone Mountain Park Campground is located nearby. The campground has 250 sites total with partial or full hookups.

Holiday RV Destination #5: Government Camp/Mt. Hood, Oregon

Next, take a sleigh ride through the historic alpine village of Government Camp. Government Camp is located within five miles of Mt. Hood and is the quintessential mountain town.

While you’re in the area, check out the Christmas Fantasy Trail at Wenzel Farm Fantasy Trail , which is lighted by thousands of Christmas lights. Also, Wenzel Farm showcases a 40-foot castle filled with everything Christmas.

There are several unique campgrounds in the area:

• Mount Hood Village RV Resort offers countless amenities including a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, laundry facility, and RV storage.
• At Still Creek Campground, utility hookups are not provided, but it is the closest campground to Mt. Hood and located within Mt. Hood National Forest.
• Clear Lake Campground is settled on the shore of a 560-acre lake, and spots come with utility hookups.
• Clackamette RV Park is 20 minutes from Wenzel Farm with 38 RV spaces offering water and electric hookups. Because it is a first-come, first-served campground, be sure to call ahead before arriving.
