“Adventure Peaks” Convention Recap

FMCA held its 109th International Convention & RV Expo, nicknamed “Adventure Peaks,” on August 14-17, 2024. The event took place at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon.  This was the sixth time FMCA has held a convention in Redmond, and convention attendees were excited to return to adventure once more! From the moment the first RVs started to arrive on-site until departure day, attendees could definitely feel the excitement around this convention.

With everything from educational seminars and craft sessions to on-site RV displays and exhibit halls, there were plenty of activities for everyone. The daytime and evening entertainment was very popular among the attendees as well.

Shoppers had a selection of RVs to tour all week, with vehicles from some of the industry’s leading manufacturers.

Each day of the convention was filled with seminars on subjects ranging from technical product guides to trip planning, working from the road, and various lifestyle topics.

Unfortunately, on the last day of the event, convention-goers were quickly stopped in their tracks by a popup storm shortly after the “Magic Mountain Parade” around the fairgrounds. The storm caused FMCA to have to cancel the Evening Summit Chapterfest.

FMCA raised $5,310 for the Hospice Of Redmond – Camp Sunshine – A Grief Camp For Kids & Teens, during the Magic Mile walkathon, Driven to Care Silent Auction, and through other various donations.
